Bio
Born in Jamaica and raised in Tennessee, Eddie Swanson (a.k.a. N-Pursuit) has always had a passion for music. He grew up singing in church and was given the opportunity to sing with the gospel group, The Mighty Gospel Kings, as they performed in Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. Swanson also earned top slots in multiple talent competitions. However, his dreams of becoming a singer were sidelined by vocal cord surgery as a teenager and being told that he would never be able to sing on a professional level.

He chose to stay close to the music business by working security for several touring bands. When family and life necessities demanded a more stable income and less travel, music stayed close to his heart as Swanson continued to write songs that he feared he would never sing. Amidst frustrating and unsuccessful attempts at finding singers for his songs, Swanson's mom repeatedly said, "Maybe God intended for you to sing your own songs" and kept praising his singing abilities up until her death.

Recently, with the encouragement of his girlfriend and due to his continued love and passion for music, Swanson decided to return to that long-ago dream and starting recording his own songs. The songs of N-Pursuit are a mix of pop, rock, and R & B reflecting the inspiration gleaned from Lionel Richie, Bon Jovi, and Barry Manilow. In a smooth style similar to theirs that all listeners can emotionally connect with, Swanson writes passionate lyrics about the many aspects of life and love. Swanson's soothing, fresh, and distinctive voice takes listeners on musical journeys, such as through the lives of two conflicted lovers deciding whether to take the next step, a family's emotional separation during times of war, and neighbors choosing to act in love rather than fueling the hate.

Swanson's ultimate goal is to have his "music with a message" out where the public can enjoy it and at the top of the charts, whether sung by N-Pursuit or another talented artist.

Love this song. Thanks so much for writing and singing this song as a tribute for my son as he was preparing to leave for Iraq. All family members of service men and women understand how it feels when they are preparing for them to leave. This is also a very difficult time for those who have to leave their families behind. It is always nice to know there is family, friends and communities that support the military members while they are deployed and fighting for our freedom. I am wishing you great success in your newest endeavor of writing and creating music.

Thanks from Paul's mom, Katrina
